WHAT SHOULD I KNOW?
- HDTV is available on tube, projection, plasma and LCD sets
- LCD HDTV's are available in any size, however, it's only cost effective on 37" or less -- anything higher and it becomes cost effective to go with plasma
- Plasma offers the best picture but shortest life span, LCD has similar problems with life span but not as bad as plasma, projection is bigger (in overall size) then both LCD and Plasma but lasts longer and tube sets are available up to 34"
- LG is the worlds largest manufactor of LCD HDTVs and has an exclusive XD technology which reprocesses the image 6 times to give the best possible picture
- In order to get an HDTV signal you will need digital cable, HDTV satellite or an off-air antenna
- An FCC law will go in effect in February 2009 ceasing the transmition of analog signals. Come that time you must either have an HDTV or signal converter to continue to watch TV via an antenna.
